Lenny is a Lifeline telephone counsellor who listens and and speaks to Australians everyday struggling with the stressors of life. Some calls are from Australians experiencing stress, anxiety, bullying, depression and sadly some are at high risk of suicide

9 out of 10 Australians are stressed (Newspoll 2009)
41% of Australians indicated they are experiencing unhealthy levels of stress (Newspoll 2009)
Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians under the age of 44 (ABS 2007)
42% of Australians will experience a mental health issue in their lifetime (AIHW 2007)

Stress Down Day is Lifeline's only national fundraising event, held on Friday 23rd July 2010.

Getting involved is as easy as wearing your slippers to work or school, dressing up or down on Stress Down Day.

All funds raised go directly towards helping Lifeline pay for its $1.4 million 13 11 14 crisis support phone bill and training more telephone volunteers like Lenny, so Lifeline can continue to answer more calls from Australians in need of support.

If you haven't already registered for the event click on the registration buttons now
