Lifeline’s 24 hour crisis support service- 13 11 14 has been providing access to a range of mental health support services that connect people with care for over 48 years. Lifeline delivers a range of services that promote emotional wellbeing, encourage help seeking, and addresses suicide prevention and awareness.
Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 44 and women under the age of 34 (ABS 2009). We believe at Lifeline that suicide is mostly preventable and we all have a role to play.
Each year Lifeline receives over one million contacts from people connecting to care and support by phone, web or face-to-face.
